Submitting Samples

All perishable samples and pesticide and herbicide analysis samples should be frozen before being sent to our lab. Please ship the sample in an insulated container with ice packs, or dry ice, to keep the contents at optimum temperature. Be sure to thoroughly pack any samples that may have a high juice or liquid content as they may leak and contaminate other samples.

A Sample Submission Form must accompany all samples; without one we cannot begin the analysis process. Please include the form with the sample, or email or fax us a copy of the completed form before the sample arrives.
Sample forms can be e-mailed to sales.us@omicusa.com or faxed to 503.223.9436.

Samples are accepted Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). Special delivery times can be arranged in advance if required. Please contact us if this applies to you.

Turnaround Times

Standard testing times use the following schedule:

Rush Analysis

Test Results

A Certificate of Analysis is issued for each test upon completion of analysis and a copy of the results sent by e-mail, followed by a hard copy delivered via ground mail. Interim results are available upon request. Reports and Certificates are issued in our standardized format; however, customized report formatting is also available upon request.

Sample Retention

All samples remaining after analysis are held in our laboratory for 90 days after we issue our Certificate of Analysis. This is a common practice used as a means of protecting our clients should buyers, retailers, or importing/exporting countries ever dispute results.

Confidentiality

All results are released only to the customer making the analytical request, unless otherwise instructed. All results are handled with the strictest of confidence throughout the entire process.
