Arsenic Testing Notice

To Our Customers:

On February 17th, 2012 the FDA issued a statement in response to the recent reports of high levels of Arsenic in Organic Brown Rice Syrup (OBRS) and other rice products. As part of this response, the FDA is expanding it’s surveillance efforts of Arsenic in rice.

OMIC USA has the capabilities to provide detection of Arsenic in rice down to 10 parts per billion (ppb) utilizing an ICP with ICP-MS confirmation as needed. The method used is in reference to EPA method 3052.

In addition to Arsenic, as part of our Food Safety testing, we also offer analysis for the Heavy Metals: Cadmium, Lead, and Mercury at ppb detection levels.

We have been testing for Arsenic in Juice and concentrates to this level for some time and our methods and protocols are well established.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Warm regards,
